■新しいプレー体験をもたらす2つの「レジェンド」モード
▼「ビカム・ア・レジェンド」
自分が作ったオリジナル選手だけを操作し、
チームの一員としてプロサッカー選手の人生を体験できるモードです。
試合を重ねて成長し、世界最高の選手を目指します。
試合での活躍によって、強豪クラブへの移籍や代表チームへの招集の可能性もあります。
チーム全員ではなく、オリジナル選手1人を操作するモードなので、
サッカーゲームの経験がない人でもすぐに楽しめます。
▼「レジェンズ」
「ビカム・ア・レジェンド」で育てた選手を使って、
プレイヤー同士の協力プレー（最大4人まで）を楽しむことができるネットワーク専用のモードです。
チームワークの良さを点数で評価するので、
新しい感覚でサッカーゲームを楽しむことができます。
これまでは対戦が主流だった「ウイイレ」のオンラインプレーですが、
『WE2009』では、勝敗だけが目的ではなくなります。
パス1本で感じられるチームメイトとの絆や、イマジネーションを共有する喜びは、
これまでにない“新しいプレー体験”をもたらします。
■「UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE」モード
欧州クラブチームの頂点を決める「UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE」モードをついに搭載いたしました。
もちろん、アンセムや公式球、大会用ユニフォームもゲーム内に忠実に再現しています。
これまで数々のドラマを生み出してきた欧州最高峰の舞台を
ゲームの中でいつでも体験することができます。
※「UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE」モードに関しましては、
権利の都合上、一部の大会出場クラブを収録しておりません。

■すべてのサッカーファンが楽しめるゲームを目指して、全面的なクオリティアップ
目指したのは選手やサポーターが体験する本物の歓喜と興奮。
サッカーゲームの本質にあたる操作感や、AI、選手の動き（モーション）などを全面的に改良しました。
グラフィックスや音声の表現などにも改良を加え、よりリアルなサッカー体験が可能になりました。
また、「マスターリーグ」モードや、「エディット」モードにも新要素を追加。
スパイクやボールもアディダス、ナイキ、プーマ各社の“本物”をゲーム内に再現しています。
